2006 Planned Activities

Happy New Year everyone! This is our planned activities and events for the year 2006. Let's make it happen. Lets's start small, as we all know it is still very meaningful to our beneficiaries and to us as volunteers.

1- Visits to Rumah Azha
This year, the visits planned to be filled with ceramah and motivation talks by ustaz and motivators. Together with the Sahabat in Rumah Azha, we will sit and listen and shares knowledge for the benefits to all every two weeks.

2- Basic Training for DRAP Volunteers
Basic Training for DRAP Volunteers aimed to give introduction and basic knowledge on drug addiction to new volunteers interested in joining DRAP activities for 2006. Basic training will cover theories of drug addiction, psychological and behavioral approach to drug addiction, presentation by volunteers on their involvement in the program, sharing session with drug addicts, and also visit to drug rehab center. First Basic Training planned to be held in February 2006. For 2006, we plan to have 2 basic trainings.

3- Street Outreach Programs
Street Outreach Programs planned to visit hardcore street addicts in the high risk area in Kuala Lumpur. Volunteers planned to gather and distribute food to the addicts in the street and to make contacts with them. By showing that we care, hopefully there will be addicts that will interested to seek help for rehabilitation. Street outreach programs will start in March 2006.
